Ohio Powerball Odds and Prizes
With Powerball, you can win prizes in nine categories and the amount offered depends on how many numbers you match. You get $4 for matching just the red Powerball and up to billions of dollars for matching all six winning numbers. The jackpot starts at $20 million and it rolls over until it is won.
If more than one player wins the jackpot, the prize amount will be shared equally between the winners. Luckily all the other prize categories offer fixed amounts, so there is a guaranteed payout regardless of how many winners there are.

Jackpot Payment Options
Powerball jackpots can be paid out in two ways:
- Annuity
- Cash
If you go for annuity, you will receive your prize in 30 installments over 29 years. In case you want to choose the cash option, you will get your winnings as a single payment of the present cash value of the jackpot prize.
The advertised Powerball jackpot amount is never guaranteed. This is just an estimate and the final amount depends on the game sales and interest rates for long-term investments. If you are lucky enough to win the jackpot, there’s a chance you might receive less than the advertised amount.
