Classic Lotto is the Buckeye's State's lottery which gives Ohioans the chance to win amazing prizes. The grand prize starts at $1 million. Draws happen three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at approximately 7:05 PM.
Classic Lotto was first introduced in 2007 in order to replace the previous state lottery, Lot O' Play. Tickets sales began on January 21, and Sunday draws were launched on May 20.
Five years later, on April 29 2012, the KICKER option returned and joined Classic Lotto. The first draw which included KICKER was held on April 30. KICKER was first introduced in 1988 as an extra game for Super Lotto and Mega Millions but was discontinued for a while until 2012.
The biggest Classic Lotto jackpot was won on June 14, 2014 and it was worth $73.3 million. The record-breaking prize took a long time to grow and only found its lucky winner after 374 consecutive rollovers. The winning ticket was sold at Grumpy Grandpa's Git and Go Food store, in the county of Ashtabula.
