How to Play Ohio Pick 4

You can enter Pick 4 by visiting an authorized Ohio Lottery retailer. All you need to do is to select four single-digit numbers from 0 to 9 and choose one of the four bet types outlined below.

Draws happen twice a day, seven days a week, at 12:29 PM and 7:29 PM. The Saturday evening draw is held during the Cash Explosion TV show. Sales close at 12:25 PM and 7:25 PM (7:45 PM on Saturday evening).

Straight - you win by matching the numbers drawn in the exact order from left to right. You can wager $0.50 or $1.
Boxed - you win if your chosen numbers match the numbers drawn in any order. You can wager $0.50 or $1. Boxed bets can be:

a) 4-Way Boxed - You need to pick three same numbers and one unique number (for example, 1, 1, 1, 2) for four ways to win

b) 6-Way Boxed - You need to pick two pairs of the same number (for example, 1, 2, 2, 1) for six ways to win

c) 12-Way Boxed - You need to pick two identical numbers and two unique numbers (for example, 1, 2, 3, 3) for 12 ways to win

d) 24-Way Boxed - You need to pick four unique numbers (for example, 1, 2, 3, 4) for 24 ways to win

Back-Up - This type of bet is a combination of Straight and Boxed bets, with half your wager going on each one. If you match all the numbers exactly, you will get both Straight and Boxed prizes. If you match the numbers in another order, you will only get the Boxed prize. The minimum wager is $1.
