What If You Win?
If you win a prize, you have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim your winnings. The way you claim your prize depends on how much you win.
For a $1 wager, the top base prize in a 10-spot game is $100,000 for matching all 10 numbers. However, prizes increase with the amount wagered, and adding the optional Booster can increase eligible winnings even further.
Prizes of $599 or less
Winning tickets can be cashed at any Ohio Lottery retailer. Other claim options, including online and mobile cashing, may also be available.
Prizes from $600 to $5,000
Take the winning ticket to an Ohio Lottery retailer for validation. The retailer will generate a Pay-to-Bearer receipt, which is required for many claim methods. You will also need valid photo identification. These prizes may be claimed through eligible Super Retailers, Ohio Lottery regional offices, participating Racinos, the Ohio Lottery mobile cashing service, or through the Lottery's claim process.
Prizes over $5,000
When the winning ticket is validated, a File Claim Receipt is generated. Prizes up to $25,000 may be eligible for mobile cashing, payment through participating Racinos, or payment through an Ohio Lottery regional office. For larger prizes, contact an Ohio Lottery regional office or submit the claim through the Ohio Lottery's approved claim process.
You can also submit eligible winning tickets by mail or through the Ohio Lottery's online claim form. When mailing a claim, make sure to sign the back of the winning ticket, complete the required claim form, include the appropriate Pay-to-Bearer or File Claim Receipt, and keep copies of your documents for your records.
Important: Prizes of $600 or more are reported to the IRS, and the Ohio Lottery issues the winner a Form W-2G. Proper photo identification is also required when claiming applicable prizes.
